Description
Drafting and Research Instructions are essential components that guide content creation in Orbit Flows. They serve as core prompts for directing both Drafting and Research Engines. These instructions live within templates on the Setup Page. The Drafting Instructions are a fundamental element in nearly every template and the Research Instructions are there for research-based content.
Both engines have full visibility into all template inputs and form fields. This allows them to understand and utilize specific user inputs when generating content. The instructions function as comprehensive guidelines, ensuring the resulting content meets your exact specifications and quality standards.
How To
Almost every template includes Drafting Instructions since they're essential for content creation.
These instructions, along with all template inputs and form fields, are visible to the Drafting Engine.
This means you can reference specific input fields in your instructions. For example, you can tell Flows to "explore the topic in depth" when you've included a "topic field" in your form.
Writing Effective Drafting Instructions
For best results, structure your Drafting Instructions with these key components:
Command Statement: Begin with 1-2 clear sentences stating what needs to be written
Goals: Define the content's purpose and intended use
Structure: Outline the content format from top to bottom, including:
Required sections or components
Word or sentence count requirements
Specific dos and don'ts
Source Usage: Explain how to incorporate provided reference materials
Research Instructions
Research Instructions are needed only for templates that require information gathering. The research engine uses these instructions to:

Sort and select the most appropriate sources
Creating Effective Research Instructions
Include these elements in your Research Instructions:
